Design Development Process

In addition to stable quality and manufacturing prowess, Yousung C&F's FINEO Floors effectively satisfies the market and its clients' evolving design needs through its in-house design development. When collaborating on an OEM basis, FINEO Floors provides design development, application, and supply services that surpass client design requirements.

Design Research
This phase involves researching current design trends, analyzing user preferences, and understanding market demands. The insights gained help define a design concept that aligns with user needs and brand goals.

Material Preparation
Select wood species or materials that match the latest design trends. The chosen material serves as the foundation for the scanning and reproduction process.

Material Processing
The surface of the wood or material is smoothed to enhance scanning quality. This ensures clearer texture capture and better digital reproduction.

Scanning
Wood or selected material is scanned using high-resolution equipment to retain every fine detail, ensuring accuracy in digital reproduction and color fidelity.

Reproduction of Design
The scanned image is digitally refined, and color separations are created to match the gravure printing system. Adjustments are made for clarity, registration, and tone consistency.

Gravure Cylinder
The finalized design is engraved onto a copper-plated cylinder via laser or chemical etching. This creates the recessed image cells needed for ink transfer.

Gravure Printing
Using the engraved cylinder, ink is transferred to the material in a precise and repeatable manner. Gravure printing provides high-quality images with rich depth and fine lines.

Manufacturing
The printed material undergoes final processing steps such as laminating, embossing, and cutting. Quality checks are performed before packaging and delivery.

Through the development of sustainable products and processes, FINEO flooring is manufactured in factories certified to the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard and ISO 9001 Quality Standard.
We source from ISO 14001/ISO 9001 certified raw material suppliers.
FINEO flooring is constructed primarily from calcium carbonate (Limestone) while the PVC in the wear layer is derived from salt, a highly sustainable resource. Additionally, all our products are low in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and free from phthalates, heavy metals, ‘BPA’ (bisphenol A), formaldehyde and other materials which are reprotoxic, endocrine disrupting or carcinogenic.
FINEO flooring contains up to 30% recyclable material from production and post-production waste, and it can maximize resource efficiency of the manufacturing process. In addition, all our packaging is made using recycled material.
